Bellafill is a fast and easy injectable filler made from 80% purified collagen and 20% PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) microspheres. The microspheres, virtually invisible to the eye, remain in place under your skin to form a structure that continues to support the production of your body’s own collagen, resulting in younger looking skin. Dr. Abir Marcus will place the gel at the appropriate layer of the skin using a fine needle. The collagen in the gel immediately adds volume below the facial folds or the acne scars by naturally lifting up the hollowed area to the level of the surrounding skin. She also strategically places Bellafill to give you a liquid face lift. In one or two office visits with Dr. Marcus, you will have a long lasting up to five years correction to nasolabial folds, acne scars or a liquid face lift without the downtime of other procedures.
Bellafill requires a skin test to identify patients who may be allergic to the lidocaine or collagen in Bellafill and can only be used to treat patients over 21 years of age.
